Dr Hee Soo Yin, MCC, CMCS, ACTC
Dr Hee Soo Yin is Principal Coach and Consultant (Career and Life Design Consulting). A firm believer of human potential with extensive experience in leadership, team and career development, she partners leaders, professionals and teams to connect with who they are, what matters to them, and purpose to bring out their best and unique contributions to life. She helps her clients cultivate inner capacities of self-awareness, systemic perspectives and sense-making alongside relational skills for collaboration.
Her coaching credentials include being a Master Certified Coach (MCC) and Advanced Certification in Team Coaching (ACTC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF); and a Certified Master of Career Services (CMCS) with the National Career Development Association (NCDA).
She trained with leading global coaching and supervision institutions and her certifications include: Certified Executive and Team Coach (Global Coach Group; Marshall Goldsmith); Certified Transformational Master Coach (Coach Masters Academy Global); Certified Narrative Coach (World Business and Executive Summit, WBECS); Global Career Development Facilitator-Singapore (Center For Credentialing & Education, CCE); Certified Practitioner in Team Coaching (Global Team Coaching Institute, GTCI) and Certified Master Professional (Birkman International).
She brings over 30 years' experience in various roles of lawyer, educator, learning & development architect, coach, consultant, in the legal, finance, education, professional services and public sectors. Her doctoral research focused on how leaders learn, sense-make and develop agency for impact.
Her senior management experience spans across a wide range of functions from legal, compliance, policy, quality assurance, human capital management and development to market research and product innovation and operations, and cross-sectoral and institutional initiatives with multiple stakeholders from government, union, public and private enterprises.
Her clients experience her coaching as a very safe space where they can explore and get clarity about what they want to achieve or create, their strengths and what they need to learn and change to get to where they want to be. By connecting deeply with who they are, what matters and purpose, it anchors them in the why, what and determines how they will act in the direction of their desired future. This often brings courage, equanimity, compassion & joy even as they navigate challenging and uncertain times and transitions.
Soo Yin finds great joy to see leaders, professionals and teams whose leadership and work flow from their authentic selves and interactions, co-creating possibilities and value for greater impact and benefit to their stakeholders and beneficiaries. She is also a Coach Supervisor and Mentor Coach.
She is a Doctor of Education (Durham University, UK), has a Master of Laws (University College London, UK); and a Bachelor of Laws with Honours (National University of Singapore. She also completed the General Management Programme (GMP) (Harvard Business School) and the Strategic Management Programme (SMP) (INSEAD, Singapore).
Soo Yin also has more than two decades experience designing and facilitating learning in Tertiary Institutions and Universities in Singapore. She is an avid life-long learner, loves choral singing, enjoys travelling and having great conversations with friends.
